![]() When More is Just Too MuchAs a society we believe that more is better and this tends to spill over into our daily lives. ... the more I diet, the more cosmetic procedures I have, the better I will look. The more books I read, if I take another class/workshop I will have the perfect life and a successful business.
Take a look at your book shelves, I bet there is a copy of
I am sure that they held some pertinent eye opening passages but how much of the book that you plowed through do you remember today? Bear in mind that the world of self-help has become a profitable business. Do I recommend these books and others? Yes, I even send the titles as resources to clients as part of my coaching service. Do I include them as the answer to life's problems? No, they are merely tools. They are something to have on hand for when you need them. All the information that you require is probably in a specific chapter or two. It is in the actual living of life, through taking chances or trying the road less traveled that we grow into the person that we are truly meant to be.
